This reminds me. I want to see if I can get Gheorghiu's recording of BUTTERFLY for like $2.00 on Amazon... She is my guilty pleasure.
Her Caro Nome and Casta Diva sound like 2 different people. I'm not sure how far apart the recordings are but it's interesting. Her tone quality is not my favorite but she has a very natural and easy sounding voice which I can appreciate. She has some crazy high notes but I kind of prefer her middle to mid high register. And then in the Butterfly she sounds.........well bad in my opinion. Where is her one true voice??
